how do you write the letter x?

this poll assumes that you write the letter x with two diagonal lines, one between the top left and the bottom right and one between the top right and the bottom left. if you don’t write x’s this way, then you can choose “show results”!

there are essentially three questions here:

  • which of the two lines do you write first?
  • for the first line, do you start from the top or the bottom?
  • for the second line, do you start from the top or the bottom?

since the options are all made up of the same words in different order, it might be hard to tell them apart. options 1-2 start both lines at the bottom and go up, 3-4 start both lines at the right and go left, 5-6 start both lines at the left and go right, and 7-8 start both lines at the top and go down. each even-numbered option is the same as the option that precedes it except the order of the lines is switched.

options 1-8 correspond to options 1-8 in this diagram, in case it’s easier to see a visual.

poll: in what order and direction do you write the two diagonal lines of the letter x?

1. bottom right to top left (\ going up), then bottom left to top right (/ up)

2. bottom left to top right (/ up), then bottom right to top left (\ up)

3. top right to bottom left (/ down), then bottom right to top left (\ up)

4. bottom right to top left (\ up), then top right to bottom left (/ down)

5. top left to bottom right (\ down), then bottom left to top right (/ up)

6. bottom left to top right (/ up), then top left to bottom right (\ down)

7. top left to bottom right (\ down), then top right to bottom left (/ down)

8. top right to bottom left (/ down), then top left to bottom right (\ down)

more than one of the above (i switch it up)

Are the audio ads on Tumblr mobile new, or am I just lucky not to have encountered them until now? Because nothing makes me want to close the app more than unwanted autoplaying audio BS.
